Kick-start Engagement
In less than a month, we consult and help you get started on how to take advantage of social/mobile/informal learning. You take it from there.
- Benchmark, employee poll, audit current state
- Presentations and discussion of core working smarter themes
- Case discussions of what others are doing
- Practice with virtual learning environments
- Co-develop roadmap for putting things into practice
A $33 billion pharmaceutical company called us in to streamline the R&D Information Group’s learning processes to take advantage of informal learning, web-based delivery, recordings and FAQs for brush-up and reference, and other web 2.0 practices.
Our initial on-site meeting unearthed more compelling needs: better practices to record and retrieve hundreds of “Go/No-Go” decisions made in individual projects every week, creating a Community of Practice focused on improving knowledge-sharing and collaboration in the predictive science group (affecting about 3,000 staff), and developing external learning networks to encourage innovation.
We set up a private collaborative web community to share information and facilitate decision-making among staff on three continents. This project is still active.
From the engagement manager,
What the Internet Time Alliance brought to the table in our engagement was not only their extensive experience but also the expertise of their networks as well. While we in our organization have networks of our own, the quality and extensiveness of the Alliance network added a value that we would not have been able to tap alone, and led us to a superior solution that will better serve our customers.
