Inspiring Change
We conduct compelling workshops, keynote addresses, webinars, and in-house events. We have recently provided thought leadership on such themes as:
- Integrating work & learning
- Mobile learning strategy
- Non-training alternatives to learning
- Collaborative work
- Unmanagement and social business
- Learning governance
- Implementing informal learning
- 70:20:10 Framework
- Communities of practice
- Social media for work & learning
- Personal knowledge management
Professional Development. The European Commission, staggering under the load of delivering and maintaining 19,000 courses, chose informal learning as the theme of its Learning Day in Brussels. Jay and Jane led a day of discussions about workscapes, social learning, revolutionary change, and the inevitably of pull learning. With reduced budgets and increasing demands, the new learning is the only solution in sight.
Thought Leadership. TULSER, a Dutch company inspired by the power of informal learning and performance support, invited the five of us to celebrate their new human performance technology business (“the Information Factory”) and their move into a real factory, a former Heidelberger cement plant. The Alliance introduced the principles of working smarter at a dinner for 60 learning and HR executives and in a symposium the next day for 120 practitioners. We explained informal learning informally, in a series of cracker barrel discussions.
Marketing. We’ve conducted webcasts and events to bolster the reputation of numerous learning services vendors. For example, 650 people listened in on a free-form conversation among the five of us sponsored by a software vendor. On another occasion, we awarded copies of the Working Smarter Fieldbook to people who submitted the best discussion questions. We’ve headlined online events for academic programs, corporate campaigns, and professional associations. Our sponsored podcasts have legs. We’ve conducted one-day workshops for customers of training companies, focused on inspiring knowledge workers to make the most of their talents, profiting from networks, and using new media to increase knowledge and information productivity. We also help vendors improve their products and develop marketing strategies. Some commission us to do research or write white papers.
Speakers Bureau. Our conference presentations are noted for their originality and impact. Jane, Clark, and Jay recently engaged the audience at CLO Symposium in an impromptu conversation from the main stage. We’ve keynoted conferences in the UK, the US, Brazil, Portugal, the Netherlands, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Taiwan, Canada, Abu Dhabi, and elsewhere. We’re available individually or as a group, in person or online.
TULSER’s CEO told us,
We like working with Internet Time Alliance because of their bright insights, wisdom, and experience in interesting organizations; they live their thoughts. Last but not least, in the very informal settings during dinners and parties, many of us learned a lot.
